Pinterest's yearly wedding report says soon-to-be brides are picking bright colors, unique touches, and classic styles for their big day. Gen Z is changing how weddings look.


Pinterest notes Brides love 90s dress styles, colorful rings, rich brown decor, and eye-catching flowers. Minimalist style is fading, letting vivid modern looks and personal details shine.


The report uses Pinterest's user data. The platform says it has 3.8 billion wedding searches and 13.4 billion saved ideas worldwide in a year.


Brown is now the wedding color for 2025, thanks to its runway fame and Pantone's color of the year. Pinterest searches show pairs are drawn to deep chocolate shades, warm mocha colors, and nature tones for a cozy yet chic mood full of warmth and style. Brown will show in weddings, from flowers and bridal parties to decor and groom suits.


Searches for brown bridal parties rose 438 percent, dark brown groom suits went up 155 percent, and mocha wedding themes grew 551 percent.


Wedding looks in 2025 will stand out with 90s dresses, bright suits, and fancy veils. Leading designers inspire brides with lavish designs, and Gen Z loves vintage Vera Wang pieces for a nostalgic feel. Statement veils are back.


Searches for 90s wedding dresses climbed 138 percent, drop-waist dresses saw a 2,395 percent jump, and dainty dresses increased 666 percent.


Men's wedding wear is seeing bold choices like burgundy, champagne, and green tuxedos. Brides explore pantsuit dresses and jumpsuits, liking gender-neutral looks. Searches for pantsuit wedding dresses grew 253 percent.


Gen Z is causing a rise in registry office wedding searches. Couples found new ways to add personal touches, and now Gen Z heads to registry offices for a stylish yet intimate event. Searches for registry office wedding dresses rose 128 percent.


Pinterest's data shows Gen Z favors vintage rings and colorful stones. "As this generation starts a new wedding era, they embrace bold designs with mixed-metal rings, unique shapes, and flashes of color," says the report. "Couples will choose rare stones matching their style, with pink, brown, and champagne diamonds rising in searches."


1920s vintage rings saw a 1,458 percent jump, vintage cushion-cut rings increased 175 percent, and unique ring stacks rose 1,656 percent.


Odd flowers will be key in weddings this year, with shapes like lilies and dahlias trending among Gen Z on Pinterest. Pinterest says this move follows the Surreal Soirees trend, with brides wanting striking florals, hanging blooms, and paper flowers for a fun, dreamlike touch to their events.
